· B.A.R.E. ~Butts A'runnin Race Enterprises~ is proud to present the Bare Your Hide 5k Run & Walk. (formerly Take Pride in Your Hide 5k) This race has a new name & a new home & is an Inaugural race for the beautiful Carolina Foothills Resort that will be cross-country on its gravel roads & lavish trails at 90 Carolina Foothills Dr., Chesnee, SC 29323, www.carolinafoothills.com ~Plus, there will be a 1 mile walk on the gravel roads for those not wishing to do the 5k, but, would like to participate~
· This will be the first race of the season for our new for 2009, BARE BUTT CHASERS EAST COAST RACE SERIES. We will be awarding a special prize at the end of the race season. To be eligible you must participate in 2 or more of the series racing events, www.nudist5k.com, and then it will be according to how you are ranked in the results of each race you attend. The more races you attend, the better your chances are to win the overall prize. Each resort is beautiful & unique in its on way. Please come along & join us in this BARE running adventure with like kindred. It will be BARETACULAR!
· This run & walk will start YOUR HIDE on the gravel roads & then go thru the wooded trails & back onto the gravel roads before YOUR HIDE ENDS at the terrific finish line that will be set-up on the lawn beside the clubhouse. Event will be taking place completely on the grounds of the resort. The only spectators will be members, volunteers, participants & guests. No pets, strollers, or any unauthorized vehicles will be allowed on the race course. Only authorized race personnel. Please check out our BARELIST of race things to know. · Timing & Scoring will be done with a ChampionChip (worn on your shoe) by Dennis of Queen City Timing Services of Mooresville, NC, www.queencitytiming.com. Please return your chip after the race or you will be charged a $35.00 fee.
· Some of your race fee will be donated to the local Cooley Springs Volunteer Fire Department. These brave guys & gals give so much of their time when the need arises. Their EMT's will be standing by for you at this event.
· For those of you that have never visited CFR, plan on making a visit before race day & try out the trails & get ready to BARE YOUR HIDE. Carolina Foothills Resort is a year-round resort. You must be 21+ to visit. If under this age, you must be accompanied by your legal guardian. ID must be presented if requested. This is a Resort Rule.
· Bare Your Hide 5k is Clothing Optional-Must be 21+ to run or walk the race. Since clothing is optional, you may choose to BARE or stay clothed.
· Please bring a couple of towels to sit your buns upon & to dry off. Thanks.
· You might want to bring a lawn chair for around the pool, a crowd is to be expected, so we might run out of seating.
· Cabins~RV available to rent. Make your reservations early as they do go fast. Tenting & RV spots are available in the Campground. Call the resort for a weekend run special at 864-461-2731.
· Times for race morning: **8 AM Gate opens **8-9:45 AM race day registration & packet pick up **10 AM your Hide better be at that starting line **Awards ceremony to follow as soon as race is finished.
· **We will be taking a commemorative nude & non-nude photo for $10.00 as soon as all finishers are off the race course & before the awards ceremony if you wish to participate. These photos are only made available to participants and not used for any other purpose. You may pay with your registration or on race day.
· Early Race Registration fee for the 5k Run & Walk is $25.00 by May 8 & the late fee after that day will be $30.00 to register online only, www.SportOften.com until May 14 & then on race day. The 1 mile Toad Walk is $20.00 thru race day.
· The resorts day fee is waived for paid race participants on Saturday only.
· You may bring 1 non-participating guest on race day for $15.00. If bringing others, the regular day fee will apply. A day fee will also apply to your stay on other than race day, plus other applicable rental fees.
· Plan to spend the day & enjoy yourself, away from the stresses & madness of the outside world.
· Unique door prizes are to be given away during the awards ceremony. Lots of surprises are in store for these. Awards to Overalls, Masters, Grandmasters & 3 deep in 5 year age groups, male & female. (Changes can be made at the Race Director's discretion) Must be present, no mailing out of awards or prizes. Overall M & F walkers in 5k & 1 mile will receive an award, all others will receive a commemorative medal & also be eligible for the great door prizes.
· A One-of-a-kind t-shirt will be available with your registration, but only as supplies last. So, make sure you register early. $2.00 should be added if ordering a XXL, thanks.
· Food & drinks will be served by CFR volunteers at their famous 4corners for a small fee. There is no on-site restaurant, so make your plans accordingly if spending the weekend. Ice, water & sodas are available in the clubhouse for a fee.
· After race results will be posted at www.queencitytiming.com. We only post your first name and state on the results to protect the privacy of our participants. If you would like your full info to be posted, please make note on your registration.
· We could use Sponsors. These would surely help us provide a much better race for the participants. Contact Butts A'runnin on how you could become a Sponsor and get your name advertised on the T-shirt.
